'Return Flight' by Daniel Brown
In every airport
I visit
a young girl in a green overcoat
stares
at the white runway.
She never tires
of Atlanta
in late November
or fresh
snowfall.
In departure lounges
I wonder
what color
my coat was
five decades ago?
A
stranger
who glanced
from the ticket counter
remembers.
All Rights. Daniel Brown.
