SUBMISSIONS

We welcome unpublished flash fiction, poetry, short stories up to 3000 words, and amateur monochrome photography (the more creative the better!). We WILL consider work that has been published on social media or personal blogs. Please send as a word document/JPEG along with a brief bio in the third person (max 100 words) to editor.monosubmissions@gmail.com. Up to 2 short stories or 3 poems (max 40 lines) permitted per submission period.

We do our very best to keep up amidst working full-time and juggling busy lives so please expect the proverbial ball to be dropped occasionally.  We endeavor to respond within a reasonable time frame however this may not always be possible. If you haven't had a response within 12 weeks please assume your work has not been selected on this occasion. Although we cannot pay for your work currently, if published it will be widely circulated via social media and on our website.

 

We are particularly keen to hear from authors 50+ and those who have never been published before! Every issue of MONO. has at least one author who has never seen their work in print. Free contributor copies are sent out to UK addresses only. If selected for publication, we are committed to publishing your work in the intended format and free of error.

Note on Copyright: Copyright remains with the author but we ask that the work is not published (unless on social media or personal blog) previously or within a year of appearing in MONO. unless picked for an anthology or published collection. In these instances, we kindly request for MONO. to be acknowledged as the place where the work was first published.
